What is there to tell you? Good place to start, I suppose, is that I’m an aspiring fiction writer. Here on my blog, you’ll find short stories that I’ve written, reviews of books and movies I’ve recently digested and hopefully, a long-running story in the future. I’m also starting up a YouTube channel, focusing on gaming, which I’ll be linking to this soon.
Every now and then, I’ll be looking to you, my readers, for base premises for stories, as well as films, TV series and books to review. Lets face it, I’m bound to run out of ideas and stall otherwise. Give me existential or general questions to turn into stories.
I’m sure you’re curious as to the name of this blog. Funny thing is that I have a tendency to take light, happy settings and find the seedy underbelly. Cynicism takes hold and suddenly I’ve written a brooding, dark story. There is no tension or interest in the light and good. What draws me in is an exploration of the inherent darkness in the world and human nature, what we do when faced with harrowing trials and difficult decisions, hence the title of this blog.
Fair warning, I don’t exactly have much of a profanity filter and can be incredibly politically incorrect at the best of times. If that makes you feel uncomfortable, I’m sorry, but my content might not be for you.
